Bernice Bird proudly serves the Central Florida community as a family law attorney and civil rights advocate. Attorney Bird enjoys bringing her many years of experience to any family law case. She believes she is able to make a larger impact by helping other small firms and attorneys with her experience. She enjoys mentoring and helping other attorneys become better in family law so they can better serve the community. 

Ms. Bird is the standard of excellence for any family law attorney. Prior to practicing law, Attorney Bird was a mental health counselor. Once she decided to pursue a law career, she combined her experience in mental health to help her clients. In addition, Attorney Bird is also a published author. She has written academic articles on employment discrimination, reproductive rights, and voting rights.

Never one to turn down a challenge, after earning her LLM degree in Washington DC, Ms. Bird clerked with the House of Representatives Judiciary Committee as a Congressional intern. She also served with the D.C. Public Defenders Mental Health Division helping to defend people committed to mental health institutions. 

To further give back to the community, Attorney Bird provides legal services to the Consulate of Mexico and served as a Legal Panel Chair at the ACLU of Central Florida. Due to her unfailing commitment to justice, The United Nations granted Bird Law with special accreditation status to help create the United Nations Global Compact.

Ms. Bird is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a family law mediator where she helps families settle disputes. Continuing her dedication to service, Bernice is also part of the Florida Bar Family Law Section Publication Committee and the Orange County Grievance Committee.
